Hi, I’m Denise Wright, creator of The Wright Beauty Candle Company. I live in Northern California with my husband Phil. Phil is my business partner, dynamic salesman and my biggest cheerleader Phil left his full time job to come on board with me. My full time job ended July 27, 2022. Which was a true blessing!
My candle making came out of my love for candles and not being satisfied with the outcome of burning major retailer candles that are made with machines in mass production. Namely paraffin wax, which research has shown to emit chemicals. Paraffin wax is derived from petroleum, coal, or shale oil. It has been found to contain known carcinogens. Over the years, I’ve spent tons of money on factory made candles only to be disappointed in the end and until I knew better. Either the scent wasn’t strong enough or that there was something else that didn’t sit right with me. With that being said, I found out that paraffin wax candles just wasn’t my thing. Why? Because I’m very very health conscious. Hence, the reason I started making my own candles out of a coconut and soy wax blend. My love for natural products started many years ago. I was experiencing dry skin and Eczema during the cold months and store bought lotions didn’t work for me, so I began to experiment with homemade, handmade body creams. And here we are today with a very successful candle company.
